So is there a difference between a lotion, a cream, and an ointment? ¬†You bet your scaly skin there is! ūüėČ

A lotion typically contains mucho amount of water compared to creams and especially ointments.  Lotions are used to provide some nutritional benefits, but creams and especially ointments are used not only for nutrition but also to provide a physical barrier.

Years ago I designed my Deep Moisturizing Cream to provide three different sets of parameters: ¬†nutrition, hydration, physical barrier….

This Deep Moisturizing Cream contains extracts from Green Tea, Rose Hips, Eucalyptus, Chamomile, Lavender, Licorice root, peppermint leaves, and Mortification Root, Pure Aloe Vera Juice, and Pure Rose Water

It is interesting that when we think of hydration we think of water right?  WELL, water is GREAT for your skin when you drink it..ALWAYS get your daily recommended dosage of water.  It really does keep your skin healthy; however, we also know that water when applied on the outside can actually dry out your skin, so for hydration topical oils provide this parameter.

Base Oils:  Unrefined Shea Butter/Cocoa/Coconut/Red Palm Tree, Mango

Added Oils:  Avocado (one of my favorite), Grapeseed, Argan, Safflower, Glycerin (vegan), beeswax, candelilla wax, Castor oil

Additional Ingredient:

Another ingredient that is very costly, but has been found in peer reviewed journals to provide relief is¬†Hyaluronic acid. ¬†I use 2% Hyaluronic Acid in my lotions..the average is 1% in any dermatological topical lotion. ¬†This makes the lotion a bit more expensive, but it is definitely worth it…just google hyaluronic acid ..you won’t be¬†disappointed!¬†¬†Lemongrass oil has also been found to soothe the skin as does lavender essential oil..both are added at the end of the process! YES it’s a VERY VERY long process of making these lotions, but i do it with the diligence and attention that I give my pancreatic cancer research!

The indoor heat caused major sensitivity in my skin. This miracle “heaven in a jar” saved my skin. The heat was drying my out my skin. In a few weeks I’m back to normal. Never stop making this cream. I love it
